Privacy
Alito Pty Ltd (ALITO) is committed to maintaining the privacy of its site visitors and users. To ensure this we have developed a policy in accordance with international best practice for maintaining the integrity of personal information located on our website.
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
ALITO collects information volunteered by site visitors using our network services and from its web server logfile:
1. for creating the ALITO member directory
2. to create mailing lists
3. in running workshops and message forums
4. in providing a "contact us" facility
5. as responses to our surveys and questionnaires
6. as part of the registration process for events
7. on order forms for solutions
HOW THIS INFORMATION IS USED AND MANAGED
We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to successfully deliver our services and all information collected is used to improve the content of our web site and services, to permit customisation of content and/or layout, and for aggregate customer analysis. Information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.
No individual customer information is shared with or furnished to any third party. ALITO uses customer contact information to provide services, send news about our company and deliver promotional material from our partners. Users may choose not to receive these communications by contacting us via email, telephone or fax.
Financial information is used only to bill for products and services purchased from us and for aggregate customer analysis, as described in the Security section below.
SECURITY
This Site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
SURVEY RESPONDENT CONFIDENTIALITY
ALITO protects the confidentiality of our survey respondents by not disclosing their personally identifiable information to third parties, including our clients, advertisers, the media and members of the public.
Respondent confidentiality includes the following principles:
- ALITO uses respondents' personally-identifiable information only for internal research purposes.
- ALITO makes its consultants and subcontractors aware of our confidentiality principles, and they agree to maintain and respect respondents' confidentiality.
- ALITO reports survey findings to others in aggregate form only. We do not report any data permitting identification of individual respondents.
AGREEMENT TO REFRAIN FROM DEALING
ALITO its related companies, the collective principals, agents and employees thereof specifically agree not to contact or otherwise deal with survey respondents other than for the purposes as detailed above. In no event will attempts be made to create any relationship with a respondent which could operate to the detriment of the member or the member’s relationship with the respondent. This includes any arrangement with the respondent for direct remuneration for the provision of services of any kind by ALITO its related companies, the collective principals, agents and employees thereof.
Should contact with a respondent become necessary for some reason, ALITO its related companies, the collective principals, agents and employees thereof agree to conduct such contact in consultation with and agreement by the member who referred the respondent. For the avoidance of doubt, a member may refuse such agreement.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES
This Site may, from time to time, contain links to other websites. We advise all web visitors to review the privacy and security policies of all externally linked sites before providing them with personal information. ALITO assumes no responsibility for the misuse of information volunteered to these sites.
ACCURACY
When personally identifiable information is retained ALITO assumes responsibility for keeping an accurate record of the information once a visitor has submitted and verified the data. ALITO does not assume responsibility for verifying the ongoing accuracy of the content of personal information. When practically possible, if ALITO is informed that any personal data collected through a Website is no longer accurate we will make appropriate corrections based on the updated information provided by the visitor.
ONLINE PURCHASING POLICIES
SECURITY
ALITO uses the NetRegistry Payment Gateway for processing Online Transactions. NetRegistry uses GeoTrust Quick SSL Premium certificates and at least 128-bit SSL security for transmission of payment card details, transaction processing and online merchant tools.
TRANSACTION CURRENCY
All transactions are in Australian Dollars (AUD) only.
SHIPPING
We can ship to virtually any address in the world subject to restrictions on some products, international destinations. Please check our Shipping Restrictions below.
SHIPPING RATES
Shipping costs for orders from ALITO are destination and weight based. The weight of any such item can be found on its product description page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilogram.
DELIVERY TIME
Delivery times vary according to the destination.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
ALITOTM sells two distinct product types.
1. Digital and / or intangible items, including but not limited to membership fees, subscription fees, product keys, digital versions of manuals, tools, library materials, audio files, video files, and other downloadable material. Returns and refunds are not available for items of this type.
2. Non-digital and / or tangible items, directly purchased from and fulfilled by http://www.alito.com.au/. Non-digital and / or tangible items include books, CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, VHS tapes, and Audio cassette tapes. Returns and refunds may be available for items of this type, as described by our Returns and Refunds policies below.
RETURNS
You may return most new, unopened non-digital and / or tangible items ordered from ALITO within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items should be returned in their original packaging. ALITO will only pay the return shipping costs if you received an incorrect or defective item as a result of our error. All other returns are at the cost of the returning party.
Non Returnable and Non Refundable items
Digital and / or intangible items, including but not limited to membership fees, subscription fees, product key fees, digital versions of manuals, tools, library materials and other downloadable material.

Returning Items You Didn't Order
If you received an extra item in a shipment, or items were delivered to you that you didn't order, please email us at returns@alito.com.au and let us know:
1. the item(s) you incorrectly received
2. your name
3. your email address
4. your mailing or shipping address
Replacements
If you received a faulty item and wish to exchange it for the same item, return the faulty item to ALITOTM in the manner described in the Returning an Item Section above, and request a replacement.
Please note that it takes ALITOTM 3 to 5 business days to process returns once they arrive at ALITOTM. You will be emailed once we receive your returned item.
REFUNDS
Refunds are not available for digital and / or intangible items, including but not limited to membership fees, subscription fees, product key fees, digital versions of manuals, tools, library materials, audio files, video files or other material either supplied by ALITOTM or obtained or downloaded from the ALITO website at http://www.alito.com.au/
Refunds are only available for non-digital and / or tangible items directly purchased from and supplied by ALITOTM. Non-digital and / or tangible items include books, CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMs, VHS tapes, and Audio cassette tapes. Refunds will only be processed based on presentation of the original receipt as evidence of purchase.
How and when refunds are processed
We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item. In most cases, we will issue a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within 3 to 5 business days of ALITO receiving your return. If you paid directly from your bank account, it may take up to 10 additional business days for the credit to be posted to your bank account depending on your geographic location and Bank.
How Refunds Are Calculated
A refund depends on several factors:
1. Items that meet the returns guidelines will receive a full refund of the item price. Returns shipping charges will be included in the refund only in accordance with Returns policy above.
2. Items that do not meet our returns guidelines will not be refunded including but not limited to:
a. Any item that has obvious signs of use
b. Any CD, DVD, CD-ROM, VHS tape, or Audio cassette tape that has been opened (taken out of its plastic wrap). (If you discover that the item is defective after the package is opened, return the item to ALITOTM and a full refund or replacement will be granted.)
c. Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error
3. If you returned only one item from a multi-item shipment, you will be reimbursed only for the per-item shipping fee for the item you returned and not the per-shipment fee.
4. If after reading this information, you feel that the amount of your refund was incorrect, please email us at returns@alito.com.au.
SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS
From time to time, external restrictions may prevent us from shipping certain products to all geographical locations.
You will be notified when placing your order if we are unable to ship specific items to the address you have selected.
The following items can be shipped to destinations outside Australia, and International Shipping Rates will apply:
Books and manuals
CDs
DVDs
CD-ROMs
VHS videos
Audio cassette tapes
Please Note: Orders that require special handling because they are extremely heavy (for example, multi-volume sets) will attract premium shipping rates as all shipping is calculated on a weight and location basis.
MISTAKES
While all efforts are made to ensure the fulfilment of an order, inadvertent errors do occur from time to time and ALITO reserves the right to decline orders arising from such errors.
